The 6300L Ad-Lib feeder capacity is 6300L which works out at approximately 4095kg of pellets at a 65 hectolitre weight. Trough space either side is 2280mm.

It is designed to have a higher trough at 200mm high to suit cattle and sheep and reduce selective feeding wastage. There are 2mm slots in the feed area to allow water to drain from the trough.
The overhang above the eating area has been extended to give more rain protection. The plate that controls the feed flow is made out of 8mm steel and galvanised. It has a wheel stud bolt at either end of the trough to adjust this height from 0mm to 100mm high. There are calibration markers laser cut into the steel from 0-10. The bottom of the height adjustment is bent inwards at a 45 degree angle. This means that if a restricted feed rate is desired the plate can be adjusted lower to force the livestock to draw the feed out with their tongue. It also makes the plate stronger with this bend at the bottom. The eating area has a vertical hopper sheet in front of it to give livestock easier access.
The feeder itself has SHS bracing between the sheet both length ways and width ways which gives it the extra support need for fast fills. The are a set of steps up one end of the feeder, with reinforcing bar welded to the top of them to give a non-slip surface.
There is also 5 site glasses up each end. The base frame is a fully welded trussed frame with large forklift sleeve pockets. This means that the feeder is not relying on sheet steel to stop it flexing. It allows the feeder to be sat on unlevel ground without twisting. The four skid design means that the inside skid is always on stable ground even if the soil is mined away from the outside skid.
The lid hinges are made out of SHS and hot dipped. The lid handles sit in a stopper to stop the lid blowing open and are elongated to make them easy to reach. The close and open stoppers have been made out of 5mm plate and re-enforced on the inside of the feeder drain from the trough.
